The wedding morning is filled with so much emotion and anticipation for the couple and their loved ones. On top of that, there are so many things that need to get done the morning of the wedding. For our couples who want to prioritize having a portrait session on the morning of their wedding, here are some tips to make sure we prepare your timeline and space to make sure the photos are everything you dream about!
1. CALL YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER & PLANNER
The first step for all couples when planning a wedding morning session is to get in touch with your wedding planner and photographer. Those two vendors will ensure that you have booked enough hours with your photographer to cover the session. Additionally, your planner will ensure that your wedding morning timeline has ample time for portraits.

2. KEEP TIME IN YOUR TIMELINE
By ensuring that you have enough time booked for your session, you will be less pressed for time and have an opportunity to relax. More time also provides an opportunity to have a variety of looks for your session.
3. CONSIDER THE LOCATION
Another aspect to consider for your session is the room that your portraits are taking place in. We would recommend that you have space with great natural light that isn’t crammed full of stuff or people. You could also consider a separate room that is more of a blank space and focusing your portraits in that area. Something to consider would be booking an adjoining hotel room just for portraits
Wedding morning portrait sessions will provide you with special photos to last a lifetime. These photos will become a portal for you to look back and remember the day your familial legacy began.
